Conference Registration
Registration Fees include Wednesday & Thursday sessions, social/networking events, coffee breaks and lunches on Wednesday/Thursday and the Awards Banquet on Wednesday evening. Registration is closed for the Conference and Workshops Online Registration is still open until 5pm on Friday, April 12. After Friday, you'll need to register onsite at the conference. Workshop Schedule NOTE: Pre-conference workshops on Monday/Tuesday are in addition to conference registration. Select workshops and pricing during the registration process. MAGIP Members receive a discount on workshops and conference registration. Not a MAGIP member? Click here to Join. Workshop and Conference Check-in Check-in will begin at 7:00 am. The Conference Registration Desk will be located on the second floor as you get to the top of the stairs or to your right as you exit the elevator. Make sure to check-in and pick up your conference materials and name badge. If you are attending the conference on Wednesday and Thursday and would like to sign up for a pre-conference workshop on Monday and/or Tuesday, there is still time! Just log back into your registration account and add a workshop, update and pay. Hotel Information A block of rooms is being held at the Northern Hotel with rates starting at the prevailing government rate. Reserve your room by calling the hotel at (406) 867-6767. Request the Montana Association of Geographic Information room block to receive the special group block room rates. Parking Information Valet and Self-Parking is complimentary for conference attendees. Valet parkers are located at the 19 N. Broadway entrance. For those who prefer to park their own vehicles the Empire garage is adjacent to the hotel. You will pull a parking ticket to open the gate and may park in any of the Northern Valet spaces. For validation of parking ticket bring to the hotel front desk. You may enter hotel via the Skybridge on Level B in the garage West elevator. |

MAGIP Awards The Montana Association of Geographic Professionals (MAGIP) biannually presents two awards. The Distinguished Service Award is presented for long-term service and leadership to the Montana GIS community and the GIS profession. The GIS Professional Livability Award recognizes an individual's measurable contribution to the application of GIS, thus improving the quality of life within their community. Mapping Contest MAGIP is hosting an additional Mapping Contest at Big Sky GeoCon this year using the data collected during the GIS Day Mapathon. The maps will be judged and displayed during the conference. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! Powerlines pose difficulties to various agencies regarding land management, safety, and communication. MAGIP would like to see how the GIS community could use this data in our new mapping contest. Build a unique map, application, or dashboard with a creative or informative story that used the powerline data collected during GIS Day combined with any other datasets. Conference Registration Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to Michelle Quinn, the MAGIP Administrator. Cancellations made by March 22nd may be issued a full refund. Cancellations made after this time will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to a minimum $100 cancellation fee. "No shows" forfeit entire registration fee.
