ArcGIS 10 "What's this" Button Not Working With Windows 7

If you have experienced the "What's this" button not functioning in AGIS 10 there is a simple fix!

The button is on the stand toolbars in ArcCatalog & ArcMap.  The button has a black arrow next to a blue question mark.  The What's this button allows a user to click on a tool or other item within the application and get an expanded version of tool tips...really comes in handy.

When you try open an .hlp file in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2, you receive the following message in the Windows Help and Support window:

The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which depends on a feature that isn’t included in this version of Windows. However, you can download a program that will allow you to view Help created in the Windows Help format.

To install the correct version of WinHelp32.exe, you need to know if you have Windows 32-bit or Windows 64-bit. Additionally, you need to be logged on to Windows as an administrator.

Here is the link for the download:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917607/en-us
