I began working in the Planning Department as an office assistant on a part time basis in 2017. One day when it was slow I discovered an ArcGIS text book with an unused training disc and decided to give it a try. I enjoyed it very much. Next thing I know my supervisor decided to have me train for NG911 under a grant. I am now full time performing many GIS duties and really enjoying my job. Because I am mostly self taught I still have so very much more to learn and hope to make lasting relationships with other local government and GIS users.
