The Intermountain GIS Conference was held annually. During even-numbered years MAGIP hosted the conference in Montana, and during odd-numbered years the conference is hosted by the Northern Rockies Chapter of URISA in Idaho.
As of October 2017 the MAGIP Board has formally decided to move to an annual conference schedule. The new conference is known as the Big Sky GeoCon.
The Intermountain Conference was the largest GIS community event in Montana. The conference generally included workshops, presentation and poster tracks, featured speakers, and a public night - all designed to increase your GIS knowledge.
The Professional Development Committee oversees the planning for the conference.
