The Montana Base Map Service center is happy to preannounce the newly designed Montana Cadastral Mapping Application (gis.mt.gov) that makes use of newer technology for faster and more reliable service. This application will be replacing the current one as soon as final testing is complete; possibly as soon as September 21. While having essentially the same functionality it does perform some operations in a different manner as well as providing some new functionality such as address and certificate of survey searches. To ease users through the transition we will provide you with a tutorial under the HELP tab that goes through, step by step, the entire site’s functionality. We do expect a lot of questions so we respectfully ask that you go through the tutorial before filing a service ticket.
The site will require users to create and use an ePass login. You may want to create that account prior to the application change. To create an account you can go to https://app.mt.gov/epass/epass and follow the directions there.
