GIS Day 2011 - A Great Success!

We are pleased with the success of this year’s event and on behalf of the Montana State Library, thank you to all who participated in GIS Day 2011!

The event was held at the beautiful and historic Montana State Capitol Building Rotunda on Wednesday November 16, 2011.  The event brought in over 150 people, all eager to learn about GIS.  Our attendees represented a variety of people: GIS novices/professionals, Farm Service Agency staff from all over the state, a Boy Scout leader, Montana State Agency CIO’s, State of Montana staff, local government, and people coming in off the street.

There were over 16 exhibitors showcasing their GIS work.  If you were unable to join us at the event and would like to learn more about our exhibitors. Please take some time to their websites listed below.

Congrats to the winner of the GPS Unit: Joel Thompson
